Kaiser is a full service 48 State and Canadian asset based open deck transportation and logistics company exclusively providing Trailer Space Sharing (TSS) service.  Kaiser is an industry leader in innovation and the highest service levels.

We are currently looking for a IT Support Technician with a proven track record of high level support, innovation, and problem solving skill to fill this position and support Kaiser's continued growth.

Support Technician Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Allocation and Maintenance of IT Equipment-Responsible for setting all company hardware and software and ensuring that the end users are appropriately trained.  At Kaiser employees are issued devices such as company laptops, tablets and mobile phones.
  • Diagnose Hardware and Software Issues-Responsible for using preventive maintenance as the first line of defense for hardware and software performance.  Responsible for performing an initial diagnosis on all issues and documenting findings. Formulate and execute a strategy to fix all diagnosed issues in a timely manner that supports business needs.
  • Document and Maintain IT Inventory- Responsible for maintaining the health of the network by keeping meticulous records of each inventoried tool on the network. 
  • Review and Resolve IT Helpdesk Requests-Responsible for IT Helpdesk customer service needs across the organization. Maintain records of helpdesk request by status.  Use reports from helpdesk to drive changes/improvements in network hardware and software. 
  • Prioritize and Escalate Issues as Necessary-Responsible for prioritizing issues based on severity and immediacy.  Work with IT Manager for guidance around outsourcing options or issues that need additional support to resolve.

Key Job Qualifications

  • Prior IT Support Technician experience-2 years minimum required
  • 2/4 year IT degree or comparable experience required
  • Experience supporting Transportation/Logistics software is a plus
  • Strong Communication and Math skills required
  • Must be self motivated, decisive, and detail oriented
  • Must have strong problem solving skills
  • Must be self directed and require minimal supervision

This position requires a minimum of 50 hours per week, schedule is based on business need.  Compensation and benefits offered: $40K to $50K based on experience.  Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Personal Time Off, and more.
